Finnish designer Antrei Hartikainen is started collaboration with the Italian furniture company Cappellini based in Brianza area North of Milan.
Hartikainen is a Finnish master cabinetmaker and designer based in Fiskars, southern Finland. His award-winning creations, including functional objects, sculptures, and installations, constantly strive to challenge and blur the traditional boundaries between contemporary design and fine arts. Through a sculptural approach, he draws inspiration from natural materials, emphasizing the importance of sensuality, elegance, and exceptional craftsmanship.
His works have been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide, gaining international recognition in the field of Scandinavian design and contemporary woodworking. He was named Young Designer of the Year 2018 in Finland, shortlisted for the Dezeen Awards Emerging Designer of the Year 2019, and awarded Rising Star of the Year 2023 at the Scandinavian Design Awards. Most recently, he received the Rising Talent Awards 2024 at Maison&Objet in Paris and the prestigious Pro Arte Award 2025 from the Didrichsen Art Museum in Helsinki.
Among his projects, Antrei Hartikainen collaborated with Cappellini in the design of the Giunto coffee table collection. The project perfectly reflects his unique approach to contemporary craftsmanship, material exploration, and minimalist aesthetics, further solidifying his position as one of the leading voices in modern Nordic design.
