The Italian Biomedical District in Mirandola is the cluster of biomedical companies with a European leadership in disposable medical supplies and medical devices for dialysis. Today the cluster generates a turnover of over 1 billion euros with around 100 hihgly specialized SMEs around a number of multinational companies such as Medtronic, Fresenius, BBraun and Baxter. The pandemic has boosted Covid-related medical technologies for example in the respiratory field.
10-11 of September the second edition of the ShoMed fair was organized in Medolla in the heart of the biomedical district with the scope to give space for new innovations and to enhance commercial interaction for products and services for the medical devices industry. Also Finnish products were present at Shomed: Navigil with its pioneering telecare wristwatches and Vitalsignum with its remote ECG measurement devices Beat2Phone. Finnica Consulting is proudly part of the Think Tank Team (TTT) also present at the fair. TTT is an international collaboration network involving different players in the field of elderly care and health care technology from producers, researchers to visionary consultants.
