New Winds in the Italian Food Sector Fairs

Fiera di Milano and Fiera di Parma have announced their strategic agreement  for harmonising their agri-food sector fairs in Italy: Tuttofood and Cibus. Fiera di Milano becomes the second biggest shareholder of Fiera di Parma. Merging the efforts of the two main Italian players in the food fair sector the aim is to compete with the major European fairs like SIAL and Anuga. This year there will be both food sector exhibitions Cibus in Parma in March and Tuttofood in Milan in May, but for the coming years the plan is to alternate these two fairs in the way that Tuttofood will be held in even years 2024, 2026 etc. focusing on global an contemporary showcasing. Instead Cibus will be held in odd years 2025 onwards focusing on educational and factory&terroir. Tuttofood in Milan is also planning to adopt the “fuorisalone” model from the Design Week events organized all round the city.

Cibus is starting this week Wednesday in Parma and the event is putting emphasis on B2B and connecting international buyers and Made in Italy. 2023 edition has 4 focus these: fruit & vegetables, gelato& pastry, plant bases innovative components and endurance.

Tuttofood will take place 8-11 May in Milan at the Rho Exhibition Center with more than 1200 exhbitors registered by February.
